Women's history, career awareness, voter empowerment, civil rights movement, alcohol related issues and similar topics are the focus of the seven nonfiction books and numerous articles by reviewed author and nationally recognized speaker, Lisa Frederiksen. Annually, she gives a number of presentations on these subjects, most recently to groups and organizations such as: Stanford Medical School students, The Sequoia Center, Lane County Domestic Violence Council, Palo Alto VA Hospital, Lockheed Martin, Fort Irwin U.S. Army National Training Center and the Palo Alto Drug and Alcohol Collaborative.

Frederiksen now focuses her efforts in two areas: 1) women's history and the answers it provides for shaping today's societal views and public policy issues regarding the concerns of women and families, and 2) alcohol related issues - especially the new brain research, which is helping to debunk old assumptions about alcohol and its impact on the drinker, the family and society as a whole.

Lisa's latest book, Loved One In Treatment? Now What!, will be available through amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com and other retail outlets in September 2010. Click here to learn more.
